looking back west I am seeing a lot of activity on that side of the river, the lights that shine at night are always blinking, on and off for brief moments in time, like morse code,, only the only morse code I know is SOS and even that is weak. Could be survivors from latest attacks…. cold seeps into my minds bones, it hurts, weaker too from lack of food, good food that is.. i’ve found that rummaging through the abandoned houses and old store fronts turns up nothing but crap but it will have to do for us now… most of my kids are too eager to fight than eat, but at least they’re hungry for something.. this has to end soon….

bravo is a good dog, he’s been my constant companion, i’ve grown to depend on him too much i suppose… more activity now in daylight as days getting shorter, will be at start of winter for sure here soon, and this enemy isn’t very smart when it comes to winter.. no sniper fire here lately , ammunition is low but we’ve improvised with creating IED’s from bleach, ammonia and fireplace matches, found a whole gross of them.. dry even.. cut off the heads and carefully grind them to fine powder, using a 9 volt battery for spark, if they trip the guitar strings, they are totally gassed.. not effective to kill them, but damn sure burns their eyes and skin..

no radio chatter in last 2 or 3 weeks, mostly white noise and occasional clicks, we’re on the move now past part of the kck downtown zone, it’s a wasteland, nothing moves, nothing much alive, few stray cats, rats and dogs and the roaches, but no humans alive, the stench of death is almost unbearable, you never really get used to it.. buildings off of 7th appear to have activity of some sort as a fire is smoking on one of the floors of what i think was the federal courthouse building,, .. we’re going in to have a look…
